Book Review & Extract: The Hamster Revolution (how to tame email)

I haven't been in here for a while, as I seem to be overwhlmed - with information. In case you are feeling the same way (who isn't!) attached is a pdf of the opening chapter of The Hamster Revolution, which is all about how to get off the information treadmill and tame your email. It's not time management you need to get on top of, it's email management.

It seems to have become a bit of a cult or an 'in' thing, since everyone from Ken Blanchard to Marcus Buckingham is quoted on the site as raving about it:

I heard an interview with the author of this book, and he summarised some of the pertinent points very well. I also started to do some of the things he suggested, as have a couple of colleagues, and, his principle of 'the more mail you send, the more you receive' and the reaction to it, 'stop sending so much email' has had an effect on our inbox's

Haven't read the book, but recommend the philosophy.
