Throughout my career, I've seen leaders succeed and I've seen many fail. From my observations, it seems that one of the characteristics that delineate the two is understanding reality. Whether your world is a large, multinational corporation, a highly-trained military unit, or a small-town church, leaders must see and respond to what is happening around them. This means not just looking but seeing.

My first post here is for some advice.

In my current role I have summer staff of a high range of backgrounds and, for lack of a better term, trustworthiness. It is new for me to have such a large range of people I am partially responsible for. Now my problem I need some advice on is the following:

Hi guys, am Jay Orongan of the Philippines. Currently i am a teacher here and also the Student Council adviser. I would like to ask you guys because you are all experts here when it comes to leadership.

1. How would I make my Student Leaders be a responsible citizen of the community?

2. Help me make my council a little bit responsible.

3.Can you give me suggestions in mobilizing my council?
