Storyville
About group
A group that improves its deep understanding of what leadership is and what great acts of leadership are by swopping true leader tales.By telling each other stories - true tales of leadership - we sharpen in our own hearts and minds the definition, the shape of leadership as we wish to practice it. Exchanging stories gives us a much clearer sense of the kind of leader we want to be and that we want to help people around us become.
The stories we swop here around this camp fire can be great leadership acts carried out by famous leaders, or personal acts of leadership you witnessed and learnt from that you want to share with others. Or they can be an act of leadership of your own that you learnt a significant lesson from - maybe your biggest mistake or your biggest success (preferably mistakes, please. This is a no bragging zone and we all learn more from mistakes than from successes).
So, pull up a log, huddle a little closer to the fire, and speak your truth or listen up to the enlightening tales we share here in Storyville. Remember: great leaders are (or learn to become) great story tellers. So don't just listen: hone your story telling skills by thinking back to significant moments, turning points, in your life or career, or great tales that inspire you still, and share them here. ALSO, if you have tips or advice on how to tell a great story that inspires yourself and others...share them here, too.
