Anna Meares - another motivational story in over coming adversity.     I watched Anna during the Olympics and was totally blown away by her courage, her determination her never say die attitude.   In January of this year many thought she would never ride again and she ended by claiming an Olympic silver medal and she was so very close to gold.

Courage and Open Heart Leadership: the MindMap (Defining 21st century leadership)

Submitted by Alper Utku on August 25, 2008 - 8:34am.

Hello

I'm working with Phil Dourado to define a kind of leadership that matches what we need as individuals and organizations in the 21st Century. I've dubbed it Open Heart Leadership and started a blog to try and define it in theory and in practice. Phil suggested I post regularly here and ask Hub members for help in sharpening our thinking...We are far more likely to get it right that way.

Here's my first post on the subject, starting with Courage and Leadership

Anger is weakness.

Tolerance is bravery.

Humility makes you strong.

World's Top 30 Leadership GurusThanks for your vote...
If you voted in the World Leadership Gurus Top 30, the Hub's founder, Phil Dourado, came 14th this year (2012), up three places from 17th last year. The organisers say it is "because of the originality and impact of your work" that Phil was put in the Top 30 in the first place. And that means this Hub and the award-winning corporate versions we run for large companies. For more on how a private corporate version of The Hub works, email: phildourado@theleadershiphub.com
