The Magic Arrow

It's in the little things...

I recently had a job working at a small rail yard.  Few people realize how large and heavy trains actually are.  We transferred product from railcar to semi trucks every day.  The length of an 18 wheeler from bumper to bumper is about the length of your average railcar.  A standard railcar can haul about 4 - 4.5 times the amount a semi truck can legally haul.  A modern railcar can have a max weight (including the empty weight) of about 286,000 pounds. (about 129.7 metric tons).

Of what use are you?

There are more fabulously wealthy people in the US and the UK now than ever before. And aspiring to join the super-rich is something of a national pastime.

People need a common purpose that your organization is headed towards. Sharing in wealth creation isn't enough. If you are a run-of-the-mill business leader reading this, you probably see yourself on a steep and fast career ascent with ownership of many valuable things and great wealth either already yours or in your sights or at the end of your journey.

World's Top 30 Leadership GurusThanks for your vote...
If you voted in the World Leadership Gurus Top 30, the Hub's founder, Phil Dourado, came 14th this year (2012), up three places from 17th last year. The organisers say it is "because of the originality and impact of your work" that Phil was put in the Top 30 in the first place. And that means this Hub and the award-winning corporate versions we run for large companies. For more on how a private corporate version of The Hub works, email: phildourado@theleadershiphub.com
