My Guestbook

I have also seen the exchanges regarding some of the things that you have posted, and, as can Kate, I can see both sides.

You have put up some very useful points in some of your posts, especially about your grandfather, which generated some good discussion.

Having said that, I also find your posts frustrating, because you seem to have a hidden agenda. That may well not bet true, but, that is the impression that I get. I am not a christian, nor a muslim, nor a gnostic, nor an atheist. At best you could describe me as an apathetic pantheistic pagan :-) I have no intention of reading the bible, or reading quotes from it. There has been far too much editing and censoring by the various faiths for me to have any trust in that book.

However, I know that there are a lot of great leadership lessons around in all of the faiths, evidenced by Phil's recent post about leadership from the heart, the video of Maxwell etc. Share your views on leadership within a religious community, how that may relate to leadership in a business or voluntary community.

I also know from my various searches around leadership that there are many faith based leadership sites that I'm sure would welcome your contribution, but please understand that the Hub is not one of those. (Part of it could be, if you were to ask to create a group that was focused on religious leaders).

I think it is a shame that comments like those we have seen have been made, but it is also a shame that those people have been driven to feel that they should make them. The responsibility goes both ways in this.

Lastly, a challenge for you. In your correspondence course, how would they teach you to manage this sort of conflict, if it were between two people working in a different dept to yours. Have a think about it.

Colin.

Dear Stephanie

I have just read the exchange with regards to content being posted. You both have points to make that are valid and this is a leadership forum.

Perhaps you can think about taking the lesson from the bible and putting that into a frame that is more acceptable in a forum of this type.

Would that be worth considering?

Kate

My Leadership Log/Diary

BE OF ONE MIND Romans 15:6

After a woman wrote me, claiming to have the same 'religious' convictions as myself, I had to make an entry: Galatians 3:28

Anyone who makes claims that there is nothing to learn about leadership in the Bible deludes themselves...I was also accused by this woman of 'spamming'...I was allowed to enter this site as a member, if I am deemed no longer welcome, I am entirely sure my membership may be revoked at any time...If and or when that moment comes, I say this: Genesis 18:27  & Luke 10:11

Brilliant Reading

"One of my favourite authors, Dr Larry Crabb teamed up with Dr Dan Allender to write a marvelous book named, 'Encouragement The Key To Caring'...If you're moved at all, get it and read it (it's only 139 pages in length and worth well above it's weight in gold)...Cheers :)"

When all else fails, READ THE MANUAL

'Quote' and 'Comment' 'written' by Stephanie (nicknamed 'Sandrit')

Quote NKJV "Job 28:10 He cuts out channels in the rocks, And his eye sees every precious thing."

Comment, "NOT, HOW DOES ONE LEAD, RATHER WHO DOES ONE SERVE...If one thinks that one is in control, one is deluding oneself"

I hope this was of some value to y'all groupies!

Have a great day or night, (where ever you may find yourself)

CHEERS :)
