I like this because it describes, to some extent, how corporations, leaders, CEOs and the rest of us are affected by and should use the tools of social media. Which is what The Leadership Hub tries to do. I must admit I don't understand the 'throwing sheep' reference...If you do, please enlighten me with a comment underneath. Thanks, Phil.

I asked google - the film clip you posted seems to be a creative promo for their book of the same name. Still not sure where the reference came from - but maybe it did its job in being intriguing enough to look it up.

The Drover, the Sheep Dog and the Sheep : Leaders and Followers

Interesting clip!! Social networking is something that we struggle with. The contributing factors for us is how to manage traffic, how to manage productivity and how to capture business critical information. Throwing sheep is a metaphor. For those who know anything about how sheep behave once one moves they all move in the same direction. It does take the ‘drover’ or the ‘sheep-dog’ to put in a significant amount of effort at times to steer the sheep down the desired path. In my theory the business leaders, the CIO’s and sometimes managers are the sheep and the early adopters of new methods of communicating, networking and managing are the ‘drovers’. Just my theory I would be interested in the views of others however. http://www.throwingsheep.com/ Kate
